NFL Midseason

NFL

It’s midseason for the NFL and sports bets are hot and so is the championship. The only two undefeated teams, Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints, seem to be heading to the Super Bowl XLIV, however, some teams have improved their performances and may change the story.

The New England Patriots have made one of greatest comebacks of the season, with Tom Brady returning completely recovered and ready to fight whoever gets on the way. He has paired with their wide receiver Randy Moss to be once again one of the most dangerous offensive duos in the League.

Brady already has three games behind him with more than 300 yards and is showing his last season injury is already forgotten. This makes the Pats a team that will try to steal the title from the Pittsburgh Steelers’ hands.

On the other hand, the Indianapolis Colts have proved to be the most stable team in the NFL, although they had some trouble to defeat the Houston Texans. However, with the leadership of their star quarterback Peyton Manning, it seems they could remain undefeated for another two weeks.

The League champion has showed its defense is its strongest point, although the offensive leaded by Ben Roethlisberger has showed no weaknesses, besides perfectly managing attack variants. As a good champion, it will defend its crown till the end, that’s for sure.

The Cincinnati Bengals and the Denver Broncos have been a nice surprise this season and brought some fresh air into the championship. On the other hand, the Minnesota Vikings have realized they have the human resources to fight for the first places in the League. With Brett Favre leading the purple attack, this squad could easily make it to the championship game and stop the Saints.

The Dallas Cowboys have an effective defense and they have a first level ground attack but their Achilles heel is their quarterback. Tony Romo has had ups and downs in important matches and if the Texan squad wants to be back in the Super Bowl, the quarterback will have to make his game steadier.

The Philadelphia Eagles is one of those teams who can explode anytime when it comes to offensive and when you least expect it can easily score a lot of points. Donovan McNabb is an experienced thrower with a powerful arm, but with a very efficient mind when it comes to selecting the play. Arizona remains a balanced team thanks to the offensive duo Warner-Fitzgerald, so the Cardinals can’t be discarded yet.
