Brett Favre workout in high school

While it is yet uncertain if he will return for the next NFL season, Brett Favre worked out with high school students at Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The quarterback, who is 40 years old, has to confirm to the Minnesota Vikings if he will comeback for the 20th NFL season after the surgery to his left ankle last May.

After he finished training with students, Brett Favre run out of the premises and jumped into his truck to avoid the reporters who were waiting to ask him about his future. During his workout and also running to get rid of the press, he showed he is recovering well from his surgery. As he drove off the Oak Grove High School, Favre grinned and waved at reporters.

It seems that the quarterback’s surgically repaired ankle is something everyone in the NFL environment is talking about “He ain't working out for no reason,” Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson commented recently. “I welcome him back. There's nothing I can do about it so I'm going to welcome him back and hopefully get to the Super Bowl.”

Last season, Favre joined the Minnesota Vikings in time for the second game of the NFL preseason and apparently now the Vikings have stated that they would be happy with a similar timeline. The previous season was one of the best in Favre’s career with career bests in completion percentage (68.4), quarterback rating (107.2) and fewest interceptions (7), while throwing for 33 TDs and 4,202 yards.
